Survivors include her 9 remaining children Joyce Winfrey and husband David of Savannah, MO, Arletta Walker of Fillmore, MO, Arnold Hughes and wife Dorothy of Rosendale, MO, Ramona Caywood and husband Donald of Savannah, MO, Gilbert Hughes and wife Bobbie of Kansas City, MO, Rodney Hughes of Savannah, MO, Carole Paxton and husband Jim of Savannah, MO, Janice Smith and husband Chuck of Sherwood, AR, and Lora Hughes of Savannah, MO. Nettie was preceded in death by husband, Raymond Hughes, her parents, three sons, David, Alan and Daryl Hughes, three sisters, Mary Miller, Edith Briner, and Rachel Stinnett, three brothers, Governor Doty, William Doty, and George Doty, a grandson, Eric Hughes, a granddaughter, Tamey Grubb, and a great-granddaughter, Rachel Ann Cook. She enjoyed playing the piano and spending time with her family. ![]() She was a member of the First Baptist Church, of Savannah, Missouri, and had taught Sunday school for several years.
